Our Culture of Giving: A Small Team with a Big Heart
January 23, 2026

At Commerce Bank of Wyoming, community is at the heart of everything we do. It’s more than just the town; it’s the people, the connections, and the shared commitment to making our home a better place. This belief is the foundation and the driving force behind our annual My Fair Share program, and we are thrilled to share the incredible results from our local team.
This year’s success is a powerful story of generosity, proving that a small group of dedicated individuals can make a huge impact.
What is My Fair Share?
The My Fair Share program is a unique employee-led initiative that puts the power of giving directly into the hands of our team. Each year, employees nominate local non-profit organizations they are passionate about. Team members can then choose to contribute a portion of their own earnings to directly support these causes. The program empowers our staff to champion the organizations that matter most to them, ensuring their donations have a direct and meaningful impact right here in Sweetwater County.
This initiative is a true reflection of the Commerce Bank of Wyoming culture. We are more than just bankers; we are your neighbors, friends, and active members of the community we serve. Our team’s commitment to giving back goes far beyond their professional roles. It’s about personal investment and a shared desire to uplift those around us.
Celebrating a Milestone of Local Generosity
What makes this year’s campaign so special is the incredible heart shown by our small, local team. Our Rock Springs branch is powered by just 11 dedicated employees. This year, through their personal contributions alone, this small team raised an astounding $4,237.90 for local non-profits.
Mike Jacobson, President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank recently said “for the past nine years, our employees have stepped up and contributed a portion of their own funds to worthy charitable organizations in the communities where we are located, and I am incredibly proud of each person who has made this program a success. Community-minded isn’t just a slogan-it’s our culture. Congratulations to this year’s recipients and to the employees who made this possible.”
Over the nine years that employees have participated in the My Fair Share program, they have collectively donated $20,000 to local non-profit organizations. This isn’t a corporate donation; it’s 100% funded by the individuals who greet you at the counter and answer your calls. It’s a testament to their personal commitment to our community.
Announcing the 2025 Rock Springs Recipients
We are incredibly proud to announce the two non-profit organizations selected by our Rock Springs employees for the 2025 My Fair Share program. A Heartfelt Thank You
The success of the My Fair Share program is a direct result of the character and dedication of our Commerce Bank of Wyoming employees. Their generosity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to giving back is what makes our bank a true community partner. A team of 11 people raising over $4,200 from their own pockets is a powerful reminder of what it means to be community-focused.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Hospice of Sweetwater County and the Sweetwater Family Resource Center. Thank you for your tireless work and the invaluable services you provide. We are proud to support your organizations and missions. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for Rock Springs.
